ABOUT FINASP
FINASP is a humanitarian youth led organization that believes that service is a call to transform lives and defines service delivery basing on the principles of servant-ship. FINASP being a humanitarian organization has aligned herself to the Humanitarian Charter which expresses her commitment to the principles and Minimum Standards based on her own ethical obligations, and reflects the rights and duties enshrined in the national and international laws. From the biblical context, Philippians 4:13, that FINASP is built, it has the ability to do all things through Christ who gives her strength.
FINASP through a team of youthful professionals in various fields of Agriculture, Engineering, Economics, natural resource management and Agricultural Economics who had gained enough exposure to the development challenge of most Ugandan communities, started as an Association in 2010 from Makerere University oriented objectively to addressing the identified gaps in responding to the development challenges of the communities. For the three years of existence at the University (2010-2013), founder members gained wealth of experience in development work through the various assignments and projects implemented like; micro gardening, crop and livestock sustainable management, ecological, social and economic sustainable project implementation alongside various outreach service delivery made to the communities near the University.
From the impact of University intervention, the founder members saw a dear need to extend the services of FINASP to the communities after completing the University, this compelled the board to embark on; policy formulation, research and strategic planning to ascertain the critical gaps that the organization would address, this process gave birth to various policy documents, guidelines and agreed minimum standards for various interventions in FINASP commitments to upholding the principles of Humanity, quality and accountability. These documents gave a leeway to FINASP official registration with the national NGO board on the 19th March 2014. Since her registration, FINASP established relationships with various local governments, NGOs and private sector. Through the partnership, it supported several households in Serere, Soroti and Amuria districts in partnership with church of Uganda TEDDO in the areas of; social protection, research and livelihoods. FINASP continue to serve passionately with her internally generated resources and other support from outside inform of; gifts, grants, donations, rewards and in kind contributions. Guided by her policies, agreed minimum standards and values, FINASP work towards achieving the vision, mission and objectives stated below;

- Sustainable livelihoods - Sustainable food and nutrition security interventions, climate change mitigation technologies and programs, skill development for youth and women, sanitation and hygiene.
- Research and Innovations - Trials and multiplication of improved crops and livestock technologies, promoting innovations that address current challenges).
- Social protection (Care and support to the disadvantaged e.g. refugees, orphans, and vulnerable children as well as women who are oppressed).
